For my very first blog post, I’m so excited to share the newborn session of my bestie’s sweet baby boy, Roman Rappa. There’s something extra special about photographing friends who feel like family – the trust and comfort make the experience even more meaningful.
Usually, I start newborn sessions by walking through your home to find the best light. But since I already knew Brooke’s home, I jumped right in and the light in her Florida room was perfect. Roman was such a peaceful little sleeper (my boys usually are!), and he made my job easy. One of my favorite parts of the session was when big sister Lilly joined us. Sibling shots can be a challenge, but Lilly nailed it! And the session ended with a quiet, beautiful moment between Brooke and Roman – one of my favorite mommy-and-me captures to date.
